Gulfview Hotel - on the Beach

Everything was great. Perfect location. Within walking distance to a lot of shops and restaurants

It was clean,good location and on the beach

Simple hotel but everything we needed Great location and price Clean rooms Coffee machine , microwave and frig Stove top and dishes and all although we did not cook it was great to have cold beverages and ice as well as snacks on hand Poolside need a few more shaded areas and the shower should be fixed next to the pool Staff nice ! Zero noise in our room

The hotel is nice but I think overpriced for what you get. I could have booked the Hilton for only a couple hundred more, I priced it. It has a decent room, no breakfast. We had a partial view that consisted of the ocean and the hotel next door that played music into the late night hours. It has a private beach that is not attached to the main beach, which I would have stayed somewhere else had I known that. I liked the private beach it would have been nice to be able to walk the beach from our area without having to go out to the road and find beach access from there. It is close to restaurants and shops which is nice. Our room had some electrical issues and the phone wasn’t working, I called the front desk and they were going to send maintenance the next day. Staff are nice and friendly. The pool area is nice, small but nice and over looks the ocean. It has a microwave, small fridge, and little kitchen area. We didn’t use the stove top. It is on the end of Clearwater beach area, I would stay agin but wouldn’t be my first choice next time.

Pros The hotel is budget friendly with their own private beach. There is a small pool and hot tub on the beach. Everything was clean and tidy. Cons there is Live music played outside at the hotel next door until 2:00am. Our room was on the same side as the music. I know we are all on vacation but 2:00am is a bit absurd for music to be played that loud.

This was our first time staying at this beach hotel. Our room as recently remodeled and good sized. We were on the 4th floor of this 5 floor hotel, with a balcony. I know past reviews have been critical of the view from the balcony, but we have a good view of the Gulf and the resort next door. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms quiet. There was no problem getting a good night’s sleep. The bathrooms are pretty basic and in need of upgrades. They have a private beach and smaller pool area. I wish they provided chairs for the beach, even though there are plenty of chairs for sitting around the pool. Don’t expect a lot of shade at the pool, 2 small tables with umbrellas, that are claimed by guests early in the morning. Be prepared for loud music throughout the night from the resort next door. Last night the blaring music went on until after 1:00 a.m. It seems the music is louder and longer on weekends. Parking is free, but in short supply. Plenty of restaurants and bars in the area, along with a convenience store. There is a refrigerator, microwave and small stove to use in the room. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rates are less than many hotels on the island and I would not hesitate to stay here again.
